Our seven students of Philosophy were in St. Paul’s Monastery, Anakkara, for three days work in our cardamom plantation there. The climate this year has been very favourable for the plats. We got an abundance of rain all through November and even to the second week of December. That made it necessary to finish a lot of urgent work in time. The yield of cardamom depends very much on the timely care given to the plants. Doing that for 8,500 plants is not easy!
