In the year 2009, we purchased a property consisting of 20 acres of rubber plantation at a place called Elamdesam within the parish of Vettimattam in the diocese of Kothamangalam. The site is 50 kilometers away from Kappadu. A new monastery is blessed in the year 2014 and the community settled there on July 11th, on the Feast of St. Benedict. The community consists of three monks: Fr. Sheen Povidence, Fr. Darees Uyhithinamalazil and Fr. Binny Puthupallil. Fr. Sheen is the superior and the one incharge of the accounts. . Fr. Darees is taking care of the estate. Fr. Binny is studying Italian.
